Cañada del Avestruz
Our olive trees arrived at our farm before us. They were there before our parents, our grandparents, our great-grandparents, our...... Our olive trees have been in the Cañada farmhouse for more than three hundred years, some of them close to five hundred years, producing an Aove of Exceptional Quality, which, thanks to the vision and passion for what is well done from our ancestors, the same objective has continued to be maintained for entire generations, to produce and package one of the best EVOOs in the world.
It is in Porcuna, where our olive trees are located, in the province of Jaén, the cradle and world epicenter of EVOO.

a new commitment
We are the generation that has taken responsibility for and committed to defending and maintaining the purity and quality of Cañada del Avestruz EVOO, trying to bring the EVOO culture to the whole world from its epicenter, which is in Jaén, and we want to be the generation to the one that our children will thank us one day for the effort, dedication and necessary wisdom that we apply in everything we do for EVOO and to be able to leave the path marked out for future generations to continue maintaining the level of quality and care that deserves to receive one of the most precious gifts. precious with which mother nature can give us, the EVOO.
circular economy
Cañada del Avestruz, belongs to and participates in a circular economy initiative where we supply olive leaf to a company that uses it to make antioxidant drinks, cookies
as with mushroom flour... and in turn, the remains of these infused leaves are passed on to a company that produces alpacas for the cultivation of gourmet mushrooms and à la carte mushroom preserves, among other delicacies.
The mushroom alpacas, which are discarded, return to our olive trees and serve as fertilizer, which makes it possible to close this circle of circular economy.
Specifically, our oil is collected in the municipality of Porcuna, where we take exhaustive care of our olive trees, which are hundreds of years old.
