Julio López, Joaquín Fernández, Martín Jiménez, Rafael Moreno... and so on, up to 634 small farmers from Torres, a small town in Sierra Mágina, in the olive-growing heart of the province of Jaén. In 1971 we joined together as a cooperative with a common goal, to create a picual of which we could be proud because it responded to the quality of our mountain olive trees – which gives the oil a fresh flavor that plain trees do not have.

This is how Señorío de Camarasa was born, a gourmet and traditional oil, with a price adapted to everyone's reality.

An extra-virgin picual: The variety of picual olive, according to Citoliva studies, is the one that has the most antioxidants, the result is that the oil extracted from these olives has more antioxidant properties –protective of the heart, arteries, preventive of hypercholesterolemia. Furthermore, this type of oil retains its qualities intact much better than those made from any other variety of olive.

Coming from ancient olive trees: Do you know the Sierra Mágina region? It is a protected Natural Park, where the mountains and the variety of fauna are the protagonists. In this environment the olives that give rise to Señorío de Camarasa oil grow; some centuries-old trees in which farmers find excellence.

Collected with care: The olive grove that gives rise to our oil grows, most of the time between slopes, on cliffs and on slopes. That quality of a mountain olive grove, which makes harvesting much more difficult, is manifested in its nuances of flavor, softer and fruitier than those of the plain olive grove. 97% of the cooperative members of Santa Isabel, those of us who make Señorío de Camarasa, are small farmers dedicated to caring for them for generations.

The result? A green oil, full of antioxidants and vitamins and with a unique flavor that turns every salad, every toast and the simplest steak into a great experience for the palate; helping, at the same time, to maintain a healthy diet.
