Castillo de Canena is a company well known for the quality of its oils made in Jaén. Since a few years ago, it has entered the world of gourmet gastronomy. With the help of prestigious chefs it has prepared these special oils to delight the most exquisite palates.

Arbequina & World is a commitment by the Jaen-based oil mill to pay tribute to the brave Spanish sailors who sailed the world's oceans for over 250 years on the new spice route. Thus, the flavours of Europe, Asia, Africa and America were united in the figure of the Manila Galleon, which every year made the Manila-Acapulco route.

The extra virgin olive oil that Castillo de Canena collects in these four 100 ml. bottles gathers all the essence of the American ports, the spices of Asia and Africa, joining them in a variety of olives as characteristic as the arbequina. In this way, local flavours are enriched with this mix of aromas and sensations that work perfectly, both as a dressing and as a condiment.

Castillo de Canena presents this special box with the aromas and flavours of the four continents:       

• Taste of America: infuses its arbequina oil with pink berries, black pepper, hibiscus pepper and mace.   
• Taste of Asia: arbequina oil infused with cinnamon, cardamom and szechuan pepper.     
• Taste of Europe: arbequina oil infused with dill seeds, caraway, nutmeg and coriander seeds.       
• Taste of Africa: arbequina oil infused with paradise seeds, cumin, vanilla and cloves.

Oils Castillo de Canena

Castillo de Canena is a unique family business, involved in the whole process of creating the extra virgins: from the tree to its commercialization. The farm is located in the province of Jaén. It works under the API certification, an environmentally friendly way of agriculture, halfway between traditional and organic farming. The farm passes monthly audits that certify compliance with all standards. Currently, most of the farm is being reconverted to organic farming.

The most important national and international awards, including the Spanish Food Award from the Ministry of Agriculture in 2016 for the Picual variety, Sol D'Oro 2016 awards for Biodynamics, Flos Olei 2016 for the best olive growing company, awarded in Jaen Selection every year, second prize in Mario Solinas from the COI, first prize in Biol 2016, magazines such as Biopress or Feinschmecker in Germany, awards from China and Japan, etc.

Every year it compiles a multitude of these awards that guarantee its dedication and effort for the quality of the oils it produces.

All the oils produced are kept in stainless steel tanks for perfect conservation. Once bottled, they are kept away from light and heat sources.
