It is a family business established in 1995 by the children of Mr. Francisco Melgarejo and Mrs. Juana Cordero, in order to continue the activity carried out for more than two centuries by their ancestors. The mill is located in the town of Pegalajar, in the province of Jaén. It has several farms: "El Cuchillejo" Pegalajar, Jaén and other farms in Jaén and Málaga. Harvesting is done in early November and the oil is stored in stainless steel tanks inertized with nitrogen. Certified by the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin "Sierra Mágina"

Melgarejo Classic oil:

Melgarejo classic is the basic range of the brand, an extra virgin oil, contains different varieties of olive predominantly Picual. It is distinguished by its flavor and value for money, ideal to give a unique touch to your daily dishes.

This variety is harvested late, just when the fruit is at a high ripening index, which allows it to contain a high value of fat, making it a food with great nutritional value.

Aroma: Medium fruity of green olive with hints of tomato, apple, alloza and freshly cut grass.

Taste: Harmonious and fresh. It is characterized by a sweet base in which the positive bitter and spicy attributes are very balanced and mitigated. The aftertaste is long. Very fresh and pleasant palatability.
